3^rd Annual Father’s Day Tournament

Connecticut Elite Fifth grade girls advanced to the finals of the 3^rd Annual CSA Velocity Father’s Day Tourney after winning 2 games and losing 1. Connecticut Elite won against CSA Velocity and West Hartford Magic but then lost to Connecticut Rush, (an older and bigger team) in the championship game.  The playoffs matched up Elite verses Rush for a second time. This time Elite took an early lead scoring right off the tip ending the first half ahead 11-7.  The crowd spontaneously cheered "E-L-I-T-E" as the Rush team left the court to a visibly upset coach. Connecticut Rush managed to go on a run to catch up and capture the lead. CT Elite did a great job of stifling The Rush’s offense but were unable to retake the lead. The never quit attitude of the CT Elite team was greatly appreciated by their family and friends in this final game of the season.
