ABOUT US

Connecticut Elite is recognized as the premier youth basketball and development program in Connecticut. The Elite organization provides a complete basketball experience with quality teaching and coaching that emphasizes the athletic growth of each player.

The Connecticut Elite Basketball Program was established to enhance the character of each player by developing their appreciation of teamwork, commitment, and personal success. Through the development of a strong work ethic, commitment to team, and personal successes; we help prepare each student-athlete for success on the court, in the classroom, and for the ever changing challenges of life.

The Connecticut Elite Basketball Program was established by Jason Riccitelli and Randy Farkas in 2002 as a non-profit, 501(3) (c) charitable organization to provide basketball skill training, exposure, competition, education help and financial assistance to all players of all levels in Connecticut with the added assistance of several Program Directors starting in 2005 and 2006.

The Connecticut Elite Basketball Program is known Nationally by the top executives in grassroots / AAU basketball.  Coach Jay Riccitelli has been working on the National level with Chris Rivers (Reebok), Dave Taylor (adidas), Joe Keller (adidas), Pat Coombs (Reebok), Rob Kennedy (Hoop Group), Eddie Myers (Nike), and other top National basketball officials for years.  Connecticut Elite also works with the Amateur Athletic Union's (AAU) National Office to host the East Coast AAU National Basketball Super Regional Tournaments in Connecticut.  Connecticut Elite coaches are in contact with hundreds of recruiting services and college coaches throughout each  year and have the connections to help their student-athletes into any Regional and or National basketball camp in the country including the adidas All-American Camps and Reebok All-American Camps.

Elite Coaches make the Difference!

All Connecticut Elite Coaches are experienced adults who share love for basketball and dedication to teaching the sport at the highest level.  Most of our coaches are former college players and high school coaches who have a strong understanding of the game.

The coaches monitor not only the on court development of the players, but their off court social and academic development!

But what does that really mean?

Understanding the ultimate goal of the Connecticut Elite Basketball Program is to understand that it provides a venue or opportunity for the top skill instruction, player development,  and college scholarship offers for our student-athletes. Because of Elite, there is an increased opportunity of exposure to college coaches and the opportunity to get an invitation to the adidas or Reebok Summer All-American Basketball Camps. Since, Elite is currently the top rated AAU / Grassroots Program in Connecticut, one of the top AAU programs in New England, and Nationally recoginzed across the country; we know the importance of exposure for our student-ahtletes and we will be giving invitations to the All-American camps for those prospects. As a high school student-athlete the importance of being in an elite program is the ultimate because the exposure that is given to Elite athletes puts them in a position to be highly recognized in Connecticut, Tri-State, New England, and around the Country.
